New Toys and Sick Babies….

Well it has been awhile since I’ve been on…Little Miss Brooklyn has been feeling sicky with an ear infection, hope she feels better soon ….and just been really busy…

Not too much going on. Last week the father in law was here and we stayed pretty busy. It was nice to have him here and watch him with his new grandbaby. He really enjoyed Brooklyn. And by the end she was pretty adjusted to him too. He also bought us alot of stuff while here…clothes for the girls, clothes for my hubby, and this for me…….

It is a paper craft sewing machine….It is called a Pixie…Isn’t it cute??!!!  I’ve been having lots of fun with it, although it gave me alot of trouble in the beginning…couldn’t get the bobbin to work properly…so took it back and got a new one and it works just fine….I started making ATCs right away and here is what my first one looks like..

I liked it alot and decided to keep it for my private collection.  I am really enjoying it. Went to Michaels yesterday and loaded up again on supplies…i find I usually have to go about once a month.  Had to get a new Gold Leafing Pen and papers of course, ink pads, a chipboard book etc.

Just finishing up the third book in the Twilight series (Eclipse) I just adore this series…Although I have to say that I am a little pissed at Bella and her kissing Jacob..I am on Team Edward all the way!!!!! Jacob is just to darn pushy!!

Loving my LOST and so glad it is back on…it gives me a reason to actually turn on the TV, beside to watch Disney Channel with Madison.  Well gonna head to the bedroom so I can start book 4 “Breaking Dawn”……Yipee!!!

Vampires, Werewolves, Babies and Me.

Well I have been extremely tired this week and so therefore no bloggin has been done! Little Miss Brooklyn gets up so much!!!  I cant wait till she finally does sleep thru the night and I can once again get a full 8hrs. She is nine months old now and should have been sleeping thru the night months ago!!! Im tired!  But she is such a sweetie!  I love her to death. Madison is almost 9 and is Miss ATTITUDE! Gets on my last nerve!! I keep thinking….If it is this bad now, how will it be when she is a teenager?? I might have to be committed    Got their photos made on Saturday, and they turned out precious!! When I get them I’ll post a few. Here are a few photos from around here:

Me and my buddy Jessica went and saw Twilight finally!!! We went Saturday and met up at the local Cobb theater. I was so excited!! I had finished the book the night before and couldnt wait to see the movie!   I have to say that the book was sooooo much better than the movie,  the movie was good, but the books are always better. And I am definitely crushin on Robert Pattinson….so unique looking, very nice!!! I did really like the movie, thought it was very sweet and I really liked all the actors!  Started reading New Moon and I am addicted to it now…can’t put it down! Jacob is a werewolf,  Im mad at Edward now! Although he is still hot….

Great series of books….cant wait to read the next one. But then it will be closer to being over, anyone who loves to read knows what  I mean, sometimes the books are so good you just dont want them to end!!

Have worked on a few ATCs in the past few days….been kinda behind because of all my reading, I’ve got to find time for everything and to do that it means me losing even more sleep. My flickr trades have slowed due to me being at my max uploads for the month….so when February gets here maybe more .  Got some swaps coming up on swap-bot…..even a twilight one    Here are some of the recent ATCs….

Gotta get ready for the father in law to get here on Sunday…..really nervous!!  He is a neat freak and well I like a clean house but sometimes things get a little messy around here , with two kids and four cats and me and the hubby!!  So nervous!!!

I’m 34 and crushin on a teenage vampire…..

I admit, I never thought I would be, but I’m totally enthralled by Edward Cullen!!!  I am addicted to the Twilight Books! Just months ago I kept sayin….”Who is this Cullen guy that’s all over the Internet?” and Why is every crazy over him….now I”m one of them.  My friend Jess brought in her Ipod to work the other day so I could listen to a book on tape….me and her are the only readers in the office…she thought I would enjoy it…so I started it up to find it was Twilight, and I couldn’t stop listening, I had to give her the Ipod back at the end of my work day and was so disappointed…I had only made it to chapter 6…so I went and bought the book and read like crazy that night and the night after….gonna finish up tonight I hope!!!  Didn’t get to read as much as I wanted to last night due to the premiere of my fav TV show…..LOST!!!   That is the only show I sit down for….I love it!!

Scrappy Fun!!!! and New Hair

Wow, what a weekend. It was so much fun! I found a new Scrapbook store and they carry all kinds of cool stuff, they had all kinds of 7gypsies items….and that is so hard to find around here. I bought some rub ons, some transparencies, a board book, and some ATC blanks…and I signed up for an art class……gonna learn more about Tim Holtz’s grunge board and alcohol  inks…soooo excited!!!  Then I went and had a total make over…..my hair has been mid to long length and blonde for years, and this is what  I went and did……

And that is that….Man, was I nervous!!! If you want to see my hair previous to this, check out my about me page, BIG change….but I love the cut….just got to get use to the darkness!!!!

Made somemore ATCs last night. Did get to use one of my transparencies, and I ordered some collage sheets from “Lisa’s Altered Art” and used some of those. Had to make some for a Black and White swap on swap-bot ….

We didn’t get to watch any movies this weekend…hubby worked all weekend and we didnt get to spend anytime together.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello to all!! Hope everyones week is going great. Mine is going ok so far. Having some drama at work …..but what else is new….when you have about 12 women working together in one office…what is to be expected, but drama??!! But I hate it, could do without drama for the rest of my life. And ya know the fun thing is, it always seems to start from this one woman.  But enough about that, been really busy so far this week, with school and work and preparing for the father-in-law to come visit. My oldest daughter starts tutoring this week, she needs help in math, she takes the FCAT in 9 weeks and if she doesnt pass it she doesnt pass 3rd grade…kinda scary…so she has eight weeks of tutoring for three days a week….poor baby… I really hope this helps her understand math…I’m not a good teacher at all..I end up getting frustrated. But I have all faith in her. I think she will be just fine!!!

My favorite ended up being the “Fun” one….thought it turned out cute… the create one was nice too…..and I do like the others. Hopefully they will get traded. I’m enjoying doing my swap-bot trades and the flickr trades….It is very enjoyable, so glad I discovered these little ATC things…It is so much fun !!!

Why must the weekend fly?

It comes and goes so quickly doesn’t it….Sunday just started, yet I know it will fly and then its back to work….    I love the weekends with my babies and being able to be at home with them. I love being able to get stuff done….the weekdays are soooo hectic….work, school, homework, girl scout meetings and errands. Love the peace of the weekends…and I get to create whenever I want!  Yesterday we pretty much stayed around the house…I went grocerie shopping ALONE!! I do so much better alone….I dont spend as much.  We got the house good and cleaned. Then for dinner we went to our favourite local mexican resturant and I probably ate my weight in chips and salsa! I love that place!!  Later that evening me and the hubby watched “Into the Wild”….

 

This was a great movie and very sad….It’s not brand new, my husband wanted to see it, he is a huge Eddie Veder fan, and he wrote all the music in it. It is based on a true story and was excellent. I recommend it!!

Today the King of Rock and Roll would have been 73 years old, if he had not of died on his toilet of  a…. heart attack?? But I still love him….he is truly the King …..Happy B-day Elvis!!!

So my Thursday was pretty busy…spent most of the day running around. Had to go get a title transfer into my name on a car we just bought. Yipee! We so need a new car….it is a toyota camry…nice car! It is not brand new but it is new to us, so we love it. Then went and had lunch with my mom, dad, grandma and of course Brooklyn tagged along. Madison was at school….then we went to Target to find Brooklyn a new car seat, she is getting to long for her baby one, and had no luck. All the ones we liked were out of stock. Ended up spend too much anyways… clothes for the baby, clothes for Madison, food for my kitty cats, dollar bin stuff for me (they had a crap load of scrapbooking stuff). After Target got Madison from school came home did home work, ordered a pizza, and off we went to Madison’s Girl Scout meeting, here she finally is….

She is a sweetie, Girl Scout cookie sales start tomorrow……Im never gonna lose this baby weight!!! I love the Tagalongs!!!

She was in an extremely good mood yesterday. She is such a joy at this age!! I wish it lasted longer!! She is starting to kinda of mumble mamama…Hope she will be saying MAMA soon!!!

That is one of them….I like it…thought it turned out pretty…I used metallic acrylic paint for the background…then stamped it, then added my image…

I made two more and am taking a break tonight..I tired!

Back to work and back to school……

Yucky!! Dont you wish vacation could last forever? I do! Today is the day, Madison goes back to school and I go back to work.  I always thought I wouldn’t want to be a stay at home mom, but now with two kids, I think I might enjoy it. They grow so fast and everything. But….times are hard…and we need the extra money!!! It is about time for us to starte getting ready, gonna save this in drafts and  finish up later…..

Okay I’m back, Yesterday was a pretty boring day, Madison kept going on and on about how she wanted to do something “fun” before she went back to school…..I suggest about three different things and she didnt like any of them, so we just sat around the house all day. The baby was a little fussy, I think she might be getting some teeth soon.

So last night I worked on somemore ATCs for my flickr trades and my swap-bot trades….this is what I made…..

Good Morning. It is 6:13 am …baby slept a few minutes longer this morning. She is sitting on the floor next to me playing with all her toys….

We went  shopping yesterday. Went to eat a Macaroni Grill, yummy, absolutely my favorite restaurant!! I had there tomato basil soup and some kinda of fancy grill cheese. It was delicious. My mom and grandma went too.  We went out to Michaels and I got me some crafty stuff. My sister-in-Law sent me a visa gift card, so thats what I was trying to purchase my stuff with, let me tell ya something, those things are a pain in the butt!!! Dont ever get anyone those! First it wouldnt take it at all, then it took 4.95 off the bill, then 12.00 off the  bill, then 8.00, then 2.00 then nothing!! I ended up having to use my debit. The lady at Michaels says that happens all the time with those things. What a pain! But anyways this is what I got…..

I got all kinds of goodie…..New stamps, distress ink, new ink pad, blending solutions for my alcholo inks, colored pencils, water colors(that suck by the way dont ever by that brand), a gold leafing pen, new paint colors, chipboard pieces, paper and a crap load of stuff out of the dollar bins!!!  And  man did I want more…..later!! So when  finally got home and got my baby in bed, Madison is with her daddy this weekend, I played with my new stuff and this is what I made:

I cranked out five last night and am very happy with them!! I loved my new stamps, ink, and the gold leafing pen is awesome!!! Hopefully I can get these traded on flickr….Let me know if you like these!!
